Hyelm – Old Street
What is Included
The rent and service charge at our Old Street scheme includes:
- Furnished accommodation.
- Energy costs.
- Water charges.
- The regular cleaning of the shared kitchen/dining/living areas within the three, four and six bedroom cluster apartments by our domestic staff.
- The regular cleaning of all other communal areas by our domestic staff.
- A comprehensive housing management service.
- The use of leisure facilities within the scheme at nominal rates.
Council tax is not included in the rent and service charge. VAT does not apply.
Rent and Service Charge Levels (with effect from January 2010)
The rent and service charge per en-suite bedroom within each apartment type is as follows:

The rent and service charge is payable monthly in advance.
Charges for rooms differ due to their size, shape and location within the scheme and, as is the case for accommodation that is reserved for key workers, where additional subsidy has been received from the Housing Corporation.
Booking Fee
A booking fee of £50 is payable to secure your booking when your application for accommodation at Hyelm – Old Street has been successful and is confirmed. This is refunded to you on your arrival. The booking fee is not refundable should you decide to cancel your booking.
